Our planet Earth is home to innumerable species of both flora and fauna, but of all, it is home to one of the most intelligent and devastating species which is us, humans. As much as we are important to utilize and protect the weak in the world, we are also causing inseparable damage to the world. Climate scientists believe that without a significant reduction in greenhouse gases, we will see temperatures rise from 3 to 8 degrees, climatic patterns piercingly alter, ice sheets collapse and seas rise several feet.
The major causes of global warming are greenhouse gases, deforestation, burning of fossil fuel, emission from vehicles, industrialization and waste disposal are the man-made causes, while the natural causes are forest fires, volcanic eruptions, etc. Scientists all over the world are making predictions about the negative impact of global warming and linking some of the events of the last few tickets to the alarming implications of global warming.
Global warming has serious repercussions on the environment ecosystem and life on earth. Some of the effects cause major problems like loss of biodiversity, drought, melting of ice glaciers, increase in sea level, poor air quality, and many more.
We humans are the only ones who can reduce global warming by preventive methods such as using renewable energy sources, sustainable transportation, energy conservation, reuse, recycling, and replanting trees on a large scale.
The technology is here. The people are ready. Scientists have spoken. Progressive businesses are stepping forward. Now we need governments to take climate action in the years ahead. Green growth will be the only form of sustainable growth. It’s a guarantee of jobs and prosperity for generations to come as a massive opportunity.
