Don’t Judge a Book by its Cover
“Don’t Judge a Book by its Cover ” is a wise saying. It means we should not judge anyone based on their appearance. Some people think that if a person is black or does not wear proper clothes, he is not a kind-hearted person, but the reality may be that those people are. kind-hearted, but people ignore them and stay away from them.
In the same way, in a library, there are some books that look old and dusty, whereas others look brand new. The people prefer brand new books because they think that those books are dusty and old and won’t give much information, whereas brand new books can. Maybe their thinking is wrong; maybe the old and dusty books can be treasures of information. Those old books can be more valuable than other books.
Once there lived a girl, her name was Jennifer. She was a student and was studying in 10th grade. She did not go to school as a private student because her father could not pay much for her studies. She used to sleep the whole day. The people in her area always blame her parents because your daughter does not study and sleeps the whole day. Let her do household work; why are you wasting your money by paying for her studies? Her father did not say anything to other people. After 2 months, she scored 98% in her board exams and was the top scorer in the state.
After hearing this news, people started questioning her father about how she scored 98% in exams—did she copy in her exams? Her father replied, You all have always told me that she always sleeps. But you all don’t know that when you were all asleep, she used to study the whole night. Thus, the people felt shocked and felt bad for her and for her parents.
Before knowing anything, we should not judge anything. Thus, it is said, “Don’t Judge a Book by its Cover.”
